Parent Fireside Chats

As a K¹² parent, you know that it can be very challenging to run a home, keep children on task, and make progress in the OLS. That is why we are holding Parents-Only Fireside Chats throughout the state! Come and hear from two experienced K¹² moms—Heidi Higgins (Hints and Help with Heidi) and Deslynn Mecham (Parent Advisor based on "Love and Logic")—talk about how schooling at home has worked for them.

These fun and lively two-hour presentations will help you learn logical approaches to motivation and discipline. Heidi and Deslynn will address how to customize the lessons to fit both your day AND the needs of your children; how to make the most of your teacher's support; and how to keep up with meals, laundry, and still have some personal time. Most importantly, they will remind you that there is hope and joy in schooling your children at home. You will return home re-energized, and with tools to help you better provide education in your home. Bring your questions, and remember—these are for parents only.
